Buildings with Character in Ermatingen
Building projects are oftentimes said to be dull and boring. The project «Uusfang« in the Swiss village of Ermatingen proofs that there are exceptions to this claim. With the creative use of colors and shapes, the architects have created a unique object. «Uusfang« consists of five separate buildings, which are used as living and working space alike. «CELLON convinced me primarily due to the freedom it offered me as an architect.» says Oliver Lussy, architect of the complex. Not only the perforated balcony claddings and stair railings of the living houses but also the whole facades of the business premises and even acoustics solutions for the dancing school «Impuls Tanz&Bewegung» were produced by BRUAG.
