When the design events started in 1999, there was just the idea and a 1800-square-metre industrial hall, no more - but 45 dealers and dedicated collector-friends followed the idea and formed the first fair – and it became a success! From the beginning it turned out to be a lively event, and the first Duesseldorf-based market exclusively for international vintage 20th Century Design Objects got off to a start. From then on the DBD attracted more and more people, dealers and visitors, and today, DESIGN BOERSE DUESSELDORF is THE annual German Fair for Modern Design Classics – with its 16th return beginning of November 2014 presenting more than 140 dealers over 4000 square metres as well as the well-accepted new name + the well-known professional approach! design classic duesseldorf will offer again finest 20th/21st Century international Design: Saturday is the building-up + preview day (preview + start build-up 16h00/end 21h00; special dealer's entry conditions); the Sunday open for the public, 11h00 to 18h00, admission fee 6,- Euro/person. Visitors from USA, Japan, Korea, Brazil and nearly all European countries meet in Duesseldorf every time, the design event takes place. Indian summer on the Rhine combined with some great finds - more and more visitors have already made a tradition out of it. They combine their design trip to Paris/France, Amsterdam/Netherlands or Antwerp+Brussels/Belgium with their visit to Duesseldorf – and they are delighted!
