Abodo is a New Zealand based designer and manufacturer of healthy exterior wood products. Our products include decking, weatherboards, timber cladding and exterior construction timbers. We believe you need to know what's in your wood, which is why we offer arsenic and solvent free products. All of our wood is sourced from FSC certified New Zealand plantation forests. Carefully crafted timber Abodo crafts timbers with lasting beauty that are safe for people and the environment. Many exterior timbers are harvested from unsustainable old growth forests, or are treated with harmful chemicals. Our timbers stand the test of time, they are beautiful, durable and sustainable. With tomorrow in mind Our timbers are harvested from sustainable plantation forests. They are crafted with respect from beginning to end – allowing us to meet today’s needs without disadvantaging future generations. Abodo’s sustainably sourced, FSC-certified timbers have been used in projects requiring the highest green standards, including award-winning projects such as the Tūhoe Living Buildings; the Lake Waikaremoana Visitor Centre and the Tūhoe Headquarters. Abodo timbers were also used throughout the interior and exterior of the Vodafone Innov8 Building, which was awarded a Green Star Design rating from the NZ Green Building Council.
