We were inspired to create our first authentic living space to reflect our client’s desire to live and work in his painting studio. The design emulates his painting style and personal lifestyle by using natural materials, minimalist values, and bridging social context within a live-work environment. The overall form takes on an ethos of monumental simplicity which inherently captures panoramic lake views from the steep mountainside terrain. ​ As part of authentic living, this studio is entirely devoid of added paints or stains. Radiant and sizeable, this modern kitchen is a neutral combination of AyA’s Chelsea White High Gloss and Tribeca Stello. Floor to ceiling white cabinetry blends into the wall with flip-up doors and roll-out pantries framing the stainless steel cooktop and hood. The appliance wall features an integrated fridge, double wall ovens and plenty of storage along the top level of flip-up cabinets. White open shelving above the ovens creates an attractive display niche. The opposite wall is covered in gorgeous marble framing the expansive windows and blending into the countertop.
