The AJ Luxe Apartment is located on the 10th floor of an apartment complex with a bird’s eye  view of the Kowdiar palace, the surrounding city and the far sighted Western Ghats. Two separate flats were combined to form a single apartment for a family of four members.The rigidity of the framework of the existing envelope and columns were indeed a challenge that we believe was resolved in the best way possible to meet the additional requirements of the client. In an effort to revitalize and refresh this previously dark and dreary lobby, Sladen Feinstein worked closely with Stantec‘s vision to upgrade street appeal, establish new circulation cues, provide enhanced views to natural light and create a crisp and textural experience. Custom light sticks that wrap up and over the renovated drive-court continue into the lobby to engage with new wood trellises with integrated linear lighting pendants. Linear general lighting provides glare free illumination throughout, while all perimeter surfaces are washed or grazed with optically controlled lighting. Charlie Greene Studio realized the office design for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, a non-profit organization located in Chicago, Illinois.   The design for the new AIDS Foundation of Chicago headquarters is rooted in robust strategic exercises, from which grew concepts of inclusion, reflection, and nurturing. These individual and collective goals are evident in the space.   Emotional wellbeing was an important design driver. Technology leader and government contractor FLIR Systems wanted a new east coast headquarters with an interactive demonstration center for customers to experience FLIR’s unique thermal imaging products. FLIR wanted this office, located in a former gym, to set a brand standard for future FLIR locations. Another goal was to support a collaborative company culture by connecting employees across departments, which would be located on different sides of a long, narrow floor plate. The hotel is hidden in an ancient Peaking alley（hutong）, the colored pattern painted on its timberwork was painted from the royal painter of the Forbidden City. Painting is the biggest feature of this hotel, and it runs through the project. The lighting design tries to show the purity of old Peaking’s characteristic as well as the painting.   ‘Screen Wall’ is an important architectural symbol of the traditional Peaking courtyard. The brick carving on the screen wall shows the status and wealth of the owner. In order to increase the mystery of space, we chose the up light to show the screen wall as well as the brick carving. The Wuli Chunqiu Fan-Culture and Art Center Experience Area is located in Shijingshan around Beijing, near the spectacular Western Hills. It is a sales experience area with the function of a cultural center at the foot of the Western Hills.
