The house is located in a privileged area of San Angel south of Mexico City, surrounded by gardens from the adjacent houses. The access from the road leads you through a narrow alley bordered by native trees such as jacarandas and Indian laureles that leads straight to the back garden. Upon reaching the garden you are welcomed by a reflecting pool between ferns equicetos and liriopes, surrounded by jacaranda trees and bamboos. The ground floor houses all the public area as well as the services that open up to the garden view. The kitchen is the center of the house, with a large terrace facing the main garden. At the bottom of the garden through some bamboo trees, looms a metal structure covered with glass that houses the inside pool. This, being under a large ash tree and covered in glass gives the feeling of being outdoors.

Between the pool and the main house, there is a covered wooden body that houses the game room on the ground floor and its roof is the master bedroom´s terrace.

The original house was one level property designed by the Mexican architect Teodoro González de León that did not comply with the clients requirements. Because of this only the structure remained.

The structure is made up of exposed concrete walls with steel structure, trying to keep the structure as open as possible to relate it directly to the gardens areas. The floor finishes on the downstairs rooms is black textured granite. The rest of the rooms are finished in beech and Jatoba wooden floors.

The landscape design played an important role in the project, our original concept was put the house between gardens, blocking the view of the neighboring houses and making the most of views to the outside green areas and the general city.
