PR House

The plot, an irregularly shaped terrain with gentle slopes, is located at a privileged altitude, offering breathtaking views of both the Atlantic coast and the surrounding rural landscape, where agricultural fields stretch across rolling green hills.

The proposal sought to ensure optimal solar exposure for the interior spaces while simultaneously protecting the outdoor areas from the strong winds typical of the western coastal strip.

The building is distributed over two floors. The ground floor, L-shaped, opens generously to the south, embracing the garden and the pool, and creating a sheltered space that is strongly connected to the landscape. The upper volume, more contained and oriented to the northeast, emerges as a concluding element of the construction, offering panoramic views without compromising the privacy of its users.

The main façade, with its regular and sober lines, deliberately contrasts with the garden-facing façade, which reveals a more fluid and organic structure, in dialogue with the surrounding nature.

The roof plays a central role in the identity of the project. Resting on limestone stone walls, it acts as a unifying element and a transition between interior and exterior. More than just a porch, this roof shapes the shaded outdoor spaces, lends formal unity to the architectural composition, and introduces a materiality that reinforces the connection between architecture and place.

Inside, the ground floor offers a natural flow between environments, with the living room, dining area, kitchen, and a bedroom opening directly to the outside, enabling a seamless living experience between the interior of the house and the surrounding outdoor space. The upper floor is reserved for the master bedroom — a private retreat, equipped with a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom.

In addition to the main building, an annex is planned to serve as storage and technical area. This annex connects to the main body of the house through a landscaped patio, creating a smooth transition between spaces.

The outdoor area is designed to be a true extension of the house’s interior. By the pool, seating areas with built-in concrete benches invite rest and contemplation, while the limestone retaining wall conveys a sense of solidity and continuity, creating an organic connection with the terrain.
