The NAI reopened in the late summer of 2011 after a grand renovation. This national museum for architecture has a transparent block in a series of columns for the library and administration, with an enormous steel canopy overhanging. The canopy is surrounded by MD Expanded metal with various openings. This type of Expanded metal is an effective sunscreen with graduated transparency to control the sun’s ray on the glass walls, and we used the MD Resto system to fix the panels. These were provided with bed hook recesses in the frameworks.
