The architecture and interior design project by Patricia Martinez firm combines function and aesthetic with remarkable design pieces.
The design intervention made by the firm founded by Patricia Martinez was planned for an active, young couple with two teenage children. For that, the focus on the aesthetic was combined with functionality, creating leisure areas in the living room with a fully open, integrated concept, highlighting the family’s art works, including the Vik Muniz right at the entrance.
In addition to great natural light, this apartment in Moema neighbourhood also stands out for the use of contrasting colors in the decor, balancing neutral shades ranging from beige to black. To make the most of the 288m2, there are plenty of organic shapes in the furniture, like Oscar Niemeyer’s Chaise Longue Rio and design pieces, complemented by the natural texture of fabrics.
Contemporary accessories and pieces including emDoïsdesign’s Cogumelo Side Table combine with the couple’s collection and stand out throughout the rooms. In the kitchen, another highlight is Ornare’s Wire modular shelves, designed by the architect herself to bring visual permeability through its light metal structure.
