Thermo Sensor Headquarters

A feel-good workplace with optimal lighting

BEGA als Fabrikant

A completely comfortable atmosphere for all employees – this was the top priority when designing the new headquarters for Thermo Sensor, a world-renowned manufacturer of high-quality temperature, measurement and control technology since 1994. As a result, since moving from Bönen in North Rhine-Westphalia to the neighbouring town of Werne, the employees now go about their work in a modern, light-flooded complex with a view of the countryside.

No room without daylight, no anonymous open-plan offices, a view of the green landscape of the company’s own park, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the workshop – Thermo Care proved to be a pioneer for a modern working atmosphere in all respects. Targeted lighting also plays a significant role:

DALI-controlled recessed ceiling luminaires with BEGA Vortex Optics® are used in the entrance area. With symmetrical wide beam light distribution, the compact downlights efficiently and uniformly illuminate the floor below, achieving an inviting clarity, even from a great height. In the car park and at the access road to the site, BEGA light building elements with adjustable floodlights structure and subdivide the space with their uncanny ability to attract attention. A reflector directs the light and guarantees uniform illumination of the floor, while an additional floodlight on each light building element illuminates the building.

The size of the workshop windows made it necessary to position the wall luminaires at great height. DALI-controlled LED wall washers with high luminous efficiency were used for this purpose, making it possible to economically illuminate the entire floor area in front of the building.

This arrangement of BEGA luminaires highlights both the architectural structure and the positive working atmosphere of this prestigious new building.
