The Alsatian branch of Architecture du Bois- terraces grad™ has just finishedbuilding an extraordinary project.

The project is the refurbishment of the exterior decking and the outdoor areaof the cafeteria of a major European institution in Luxembourg City

1600 m2 of decking, including 400m2 suitable for the traffic of window cleaning vehicles was installed.

This extraordinary order was not assigned lightly. The final choice between the various solutions was entrusted to an expert in this field.

The specifications included a total absence of bolts, perfect stability of thewood, proven environmental performance (all wood must be certified), andat the least a 25-year warrantee. In addition, the structure had to be suitablefor public use (overload 500kg / m2) and in some points be strong enough toallow the circulation of window cleaning vehicles.

The expert concluded that the company grad ™, with its famous fasteningsystem, the JuAn® clip offered the most benefits and guarantees.Totally invisible, the JuAn® clip also allows to maintain space between theboards and the structure and thus, ensures optimal ventilation of this sensitivearea of the terrace.

Most importantly, the JuAn® clip, in its latest version, allows dismantling theboards using a single key, which is a major and decisive innovation in outdoordecking.

The structure is in Pine Class 4 and has an additional protection in the form ofan aluminium hood (the Cover Rail). Incidentally, this device also improvesstraightness and flatness of the entire structure.
