Abitacolo - Compasso d'Oro 1979 - a new interpretation of the masterpiece by Bruno Munari
Abitacolo, the mythical "habitable module", was conceived in 1971 by the Italian designer, painter and writer Bruno Munari (Milan 1907-1998) to meet all primary living requirements for boys in a contained space; it confirms its qualities of "multifunctional structure" with a unique interpretation of the home work-station for adults. It is a real working module equipped with a large work surface and generous storage units for documents, catalogues, and hardware; it even allows for a bit of unexpected healthy play..
