Anfibio stands in perfect harmony with the new living-in concept: flexibility and adaptability in home furnishing, since home is no longer a stereotyped and fossilized place, but, instead, a space to live in, which requires to its components ductility and versatility .
It was designed by Alessandro Becchi together with the giovannetti staff in 1970 and twice patented on international scale – both as invention and ornament - . Over 25'000 pieces of Anfibio have been produced from 1970 up to 1996, so that Anfibio still lives in many houses all over the world as well as in 10 international museums of modern art, as it was awarded with the “Compasso d’oro” glamorous design prize.
To the aesthetic content, which remained unvaried during the years - making Anfibio a cult object in its field – joined today many technologically innovative features, which made this furnishing element even more original and functional.
