Result of the experiences in parametric design that Estudio Guto Requena has been developing, Buffet Atração was designed from the concept of attractors. Inspired by the workings of energy fields that generate interactions creating and deforming surfaces, the piece is the result of a force field and load points that control and define the wavy texture characteristic of this piece of furniture.

From a grid of points (force field) loads (positive and negative) are assigned at specific points (load points). The grid points receive values in relation to the distance they are from these load points and are modified from them, generating a fluid movement. Then, the three-dimensional surface and the modules for manufacturing are generated. A high-precision CNC machine carved the wood, materializing the texture.

At the top of the furniture, a smooth surface in transparent glass provides a support area or positioning of decorative objects and vases.
