Lattenbank BZ is in 1960-1961 ontworpen door Martin Visser op verzoek van het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. De ontvangst van het ontwerp was zo goed dat ‘t Spectrum, waar Visser destijds werkzaam was als ontwerper en art director, in 1965 besloot de bank in enkele vaste maten en uitvoeringen in de collectie op te nemen. Deze lattenbank bleef in collectie tot 1974. Op de meubelbeurs in Keulen 2010 is de BZ bank opnieuw geïntroduceerd.


Er is grotendeels voor dezelfde maten en uitvoeringen gekozen als dat ’t Spectrum de bank destijds in collectie had: Een lengte van 160 cm en 200 cm met een diepte van 42 cm en 60 cm. De hoogte is 30 cm (zoals vroeger) of 40 cm (aangepast aan de tegenwoordig gebruikte hoogtes).


Lattenbank BZ is altijd opgebouwd uit massief essen, en wordt daarna blank, zwart of wengé kleurig gebeitst geleverd en daarna mat afgelakt. Er is eveneens een kussentje leverbaar van 42x60, wat daardoor op elke bank te plaatsen is.
