Focusing on the essentials The Cityplus faucet line of Swiss bathroom specialist Laufen is characterised by elegant metal bodies and linear perfection. The graphic style from designer Andreas Dimitriadis (Platinumdesign) and the exclusive quality of the washbasin, bathtub and shower mixers lend the bathroom a visual harmony that is totally in tune with the demands of modern aesthetes. And meets their requirements in terms of quality and technology too.
The collection – unifying simplicity Purist bathroom design is inspired by focal design elements, and Cityplus offers the ideal collection for this furnishing style: the line includes washbasin mixers with projections of 115 mm and 140 mm respectively, and a high version with a 190 mm projection for freestanding washbasins. The washbasin mixers blend particularly well with cubic countertop washbasins and purist single or double washbasins. A bidet solution is also available, design-matched to the washbasin mixers. The sleek design of the lever is set off to particular advantage on the bathtub and shower mixers. Both are available as surface-mounted versions, or flush-mounted versions based on the Simibox system.
In addition to the lever-operated washbasin mixers we also offer Cityplus zero, a rotary control version. The exchangeable cap on the rotary control is supplied in six versions including Chrome, Matt Chrome, Night Black, Glacier White and Pure Orange, and with the Swiss cross motif. The caps can be swapped over quickly and easily at home to suit the user’s taste and mood. Our new handheld MyTwin and MyCity shower sprays also come in the same colours. Combine the two for a matching washbasin and shower look.

Technical extras for environmentally conscious design lovers Cityplus also offers impressive technical benefits: the washbasin and bidet mixers are equipped with a cartridge for restricting both the volume of water and the temperature. The outlets feature a ‛coin slot’ flow regulator because water with a high lime content can quickly cause stubborn deposits. With it, the outlets can be effortlessly unscrewed with a coin, cleaned and replaced. The washbasin and bidet mixers are equipped with environmentally friendly technology, earning them the A energy label from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE), SwissEnergy.
Bathtime and showering pleasures are also environmentally friendly. The Cityplus shower and bathtub mixers are fitted with the renowned Laufen Ecototal cartridge. Ecototal is a special control cartridge with tactile feedback of the water temperature and flow rate: when you move the lever up or to the side, you feel a palpable resistance on leaving the energy-saving zone. Beyond this zone, the maximum temperature and maximum flow of water are available. Thanks to Ecototal, water and energy consumption can be reduced by up to 30%. The Cityplus surface-mounted shower and bathtub mixers also bear the A energy label. Worth knowing: thanks to their smart design inside, the bathtub and shower bodies remain cool to the touch even at high water temperatures, affording perfect protection against scalding.
