Cocomosaic tiles form a stylish, richly textured, warm and exotic but elegant cladding. It’s eco-friendly and 100% natural. The products are easy and quick to install, water repellent and easy to clean.
The mosaic tiles are made from coconut shells, a discarded product of the coconut milk and -pulp industry. The tiles are hand-made by cutting coconut shells into small, perfectly sized squares, and then bonding the squares into larger tiles. The different looks are obtained by using either the inside or the outside of the shell. Various colours and finish effects are available. Only water-based, low emission glues, lacquers and paints are used in manufacturing the Cocomosaic products.
This innovative beneficiation of former waste products into desirable interior cladding items has been highly successful in creating employment and generating an income for hundreds of people. Cocomosaic has received several winning awards for this achievement.
