The oak kitchen door collection started a few years ago while we were rebuilding an old house for clients. Everyone, who grew up in the 70’s and later, recognizes them. These dark brown oak kitchens with panel doors. Wasn’t it at your own or parents place, then at your grandma’s our neigbours. Holyscrap uses these panel doors as a starting point for the design of a series of furniture and places these doors in a totally different perspective. The designs from this series we call the Kitchen Door Series. Holyscrap 32 Wall Mounted Shelf from the Kitchen Door Series comes with a drawer. On top there are three metal bookends, which you can adjust in depth. Show off your coolest records and books. Or hang it in your hallway, for your keys, mail and mobile, when you come home. Holyscrap 32 Wall Mounted Shelf is a one-off, there’s only made one.
How Its Made
All Holyscrap designs are hand made in our Amsterdam based studio / workshop. Every item is (fire)stamped and has it’s own, unique number punched in it. Holyscrap 32 Wall Mounted Shelf is a shelf with a drawer that is made of mdf and laminated with a Makassar hpl. The drawer is spray painted in fluorescent yellow, which gives a nice contrast with the dark brown color of the hpl. With the wooden lath, which comes with the shelf, you can easily mount the shelf with two screws on both sides. Holyscrap 32 Wall Mmounted Shelf is 11 cm high x 99 cm wide x 22 cm deep.
