“The innovative feature characterizing HOST is intrinsic in its formal construction. A linear and rigid outer frame contains and contrasts with soft cushions to produce a volume of great harmony. The lines of the external frame and the architectural details of the product afford the possibility to appreciate its softness in all respects, as well as creating a distinctive element for its modular function, for a furniture piece that adapts easily and dynamically to any type of living space”.

Francesco Lucchese

The versatile design and harmonious forms of Host by SWAN, designed by Francesco Lucchese, Company Art Director, have been further developed – to offer even more compositional freedom and extreme comfort - with the addition of new curved elements with or without armrest and a series of straight terminal elements without arms but endowed with a seat cushion that embraces the backrest and side for a modern and informal style.

Host is a modular sofa with a great personality, a collection made up of various elements that elegantly combine to enhance the interior design of the living space.

Its structure, characterized by clean-cut horizontal lines, presents a distinctive slit on the backrest where soft, feather-filled cushions are neatly inserted to create an unusual contrast. The “pozzetto aperto” (open-welled) armrest with its discreetly slim presence, highlights the formal uniqueness of this exclusive solution while also providing a body-hugging seat.

When comfort is expressed in an exclusive form, the result is a dynamic system of great class: in fact the backrest of Host, is fitted with special straps that flex up to 5 cm to offer a perfectly ergonomic solution and moments of sheer relaxation.

This seating with its soft feather cushions has been visually reduced in height to further enhance its horizontal lines and to confer an overall sensation of extreme snugness to this project. Another distinctive feature of Host is represented by the pleasing sense of lightness conveyed by the feet concealed beneath its structure.
