The Legal Seminar in the Law Faculty of the Wilhelm University at Münster in the German federal state of North-Rhine Westphalia has a stunning new library. A Paschen Library that covers an area of 14,000 square metres and which is used by over 3,000 students every day. Countless tomes and volumes are now accommodated on three levels, shelving which amounts to a length of ca. 3,000 metres. The aim was to preserve the style of the 1950s. Side panels and shelves are made of wood core plywood. They therefore resemble very closely solid wood as such plywood is composed of innumerable solid strips of wood. As well as the library shelving systems, over 300 library desks have been created for the students' convenience.
