Composite lightweight stone panels are made coupling aluminum or polypropylene honeycomb panels with low thickness stone slabs . Medium weight for 2 cm marble slabs is 58 kg/sqm, 2 cm lightweight stone panels (5 mm stone + 15 mm honeycomb) are about 16 kg/sqm.
Thanks to their weight, their easy installation, and their superior impact and flexural strenghts, lightweight stone panels are used in aeronautical and naval industries, in furniture, in doors, in elevators, in wall cladding and lots of other fields.
