Mode

Over the years, the office has evolved from monotonous place to get work sone to a think tank and a lifestyle hub. The ‘typical office’ mindset is being challenged and different office designs and interior pops up everywhere. Form conservative to radical, regardless of where you are on the spectrum, the office has evolve into a brand, a statement, a commitment to stakeholders and a second home to many. Realizing this, Mode lounge system is designed with the understanding that there is no single solution to the seating needs in the variability of modern offices. Mode started with the idea to suit all if not most offices. Flexibility, customizability and practicality are accentuated throughout the thought process of designing Mode. Mode allows the user to change the orientation flexibly even after the initial installation. We envisioned a mounting system that is flexible enough to allow add-ons to be mounted securely yet easy enough to be installed and customized by anyone. Ultimately, we arrive at a solution which is much simpler than we initially imagined. Using the natural characteristic of materials, we introduced a solution where the add-ons are secured by the seats structure itself while being hold in place with the high density polyurethane foam which doubles as the seats. This intuitive solution not only reaches our initial purpose, it is also done so in a simplistic manner and in effect, very cost efficient. With that, we present Mode, a modular, changeable seating system with add-ons that are easily customized to fit for different purpose, spatial design and interior layout. With the universal and minimal shape of Mode Lounge plus the variety of fabric colors, Modes blends well with any stylistic interior decoration easily. The customizability of Mode put the power on interior decorators hand to suit the lounge into their space and not the other way round. At the same time, Mode gives no compromise to comfort and ergonomics, while maintaining the renowned quality and durability of a Benithem Product. The result is a versatile, contemporary and cozy lounge system, Mode.
