Must by Decobel: when fashion and design are all about the fabric
Como (Italy), April 2017 - Coinciding with the 25th edition of the exhibition Proposte, Must – recently purchased by the prestigious Italian luxury textile firm Decobel – will be showcasing its new products for 2017, from 30 April to 5 May at the Giardino Hotel and Restaurant in Via Regina 73, Cernobbio (Como).
Visitors will be able to admire and experience two versatile, strikingly beautiful, categories on this occasion: linen and cotton fabrics with an elegant, natural texture, and the eclectic, dynamic threedimensional fabrics, which offer unique solutions to personalise furnishings with an innovative trompe l’oeil effect. For 2017, the Must range comprises a large variety of models and possible combinations designed to give a further boost to the concept of matchability. This year, the collections have been enhanced with new raffias in 100% polyamide, teamed with other yarns such as cotton and linen. These are joined by new carded and brushed wool fabrics, both yarn-dyed and piece-dyed, as well as delightful knit fabrics, plain and patterned and mainly yarn-dyed.
Must produces its own materials, starting from the design of the yarn, in keeping with the main trends from the world of fashion, thus offering contemporary, trend-driven ideas to take inspiration from: featured here are textile fibres used in an unusual way for an original, exquisitely sophisticated result. In this process, the product is created along with the customer, from conception through to technical assistance, for an all-encompassing experience that allows the customer’s every requirement and taste to be catered.
“We acquired Must at the beginning of 2017, giving rise to this collaboration, a perfect blend of both companies”, explains Gabriele Guidoni, Art Director of Decobel. “Must has been shaped into a range of the same name within Decobel, incorporating elements of different worlds to devise and create products with a strong personality that allow us to look ahead and define the future of the art of home furnishings”. Decobel’s future is open to creativity and new ideas, and the synergy with Must offers us further opportunities to complement our take on design and decoration.
