Two new designs join the “56” collection by Ron Gilad for Adele‐C. “With these two projects I continue my personal search about designing through irony” says Ron Gilad. The object 'chair' is removed from its context and reduced to a miniature piece while also becoming the structural support of the entire furniture. In his previous “56” designs, the small chairs were supporting the entire volume of, respectively, a day bed and a cabinet. In these new works, 14 Cupboard and 28 Cupboard, the miniaturized chairs are integral parts of the whole composition. Ron Gilad's playfulness shows through the strong visual personality of these containers. The functions are rules proper to each element are overturned, while the solidity and functionality of the overall piece of furniture are fully respected.
