Who doesn’t dream about a shower wall made of glass, that looks like it’s disappearing in the ceiling, so the mounting parts aren’t visible against the wall or on the ceiling? In the ‘Sky Concept’, from the Belgian shower specialist Aquaconcept, is the aluminium profile beautifully, steady and invisibly fixed in the ceiling. If wanted, the profile of the freestanding glass panels, side panels or two-piece sliding doors can also be mounted visible on the ceiling, and that for a height up to 3 metres. The advantages of this innovative concept are mainly aesthetic, there becomes a perfect shield without visible lines or contours at the top. On top of that, the Sky Concept provides more comfort: the shower is completely protected against draft and stays warmer. Sky Concept comes out in different series, depending on the concept. 8 mm or 10 mm safety glass is used. Open shower concepts For the type ‘walk-through-shower’ it is possible to place a fully freestanding glass panel with two squared profiles on the ceiling. What if you only want to see glass, and no mounting pieces? Then the glass drops down from the ceiling (with an invisible profile) or starts from the ceiling with a visible profile. Underneath the glass just rests on the shower tray or floor. Closed shower concepts If you choose for a more ‘closed’ shower concept, there also are different options. Between two walls the ‘Sky Concept Slides’ shines with a two-piece glass sliding door, this is mounted on the ceiling with a visible profile or mounted in the ceiling with an invisible profile. It provides an optimal sliding effect of the glass over a frameless bottom, and that gives it a real design-look. On top of that, the profile has a built-in soft close braking system so that the door cannot be opened or closed too rough. If one chooses for a combination of a large glass side panel with a 180° swing door that’s only supported by a squared profile? Then the profile sticks out of the glass up to the ceiling and there it flows into a squared ceiling attachment. Half-open shower concepts What if you only want a side panel? Then you can go for a glass that’s invisible built-in in the ceiling (or on the ceiling with a profile), and against the wall without a profile. Or you can go for a side panel that’s fixed against the wall with a chrome profile and a squared attachment to the ceiling.
