TABS Utilises the concrete's thermal mass by embedded PePex pipes (plastic) carrying water and cooling in the building structure. The embedded pipes activate the concrete core in the building-mass for storage and discharge the thermal loads. TABS will take care of the intire heating and cooling demand in buildings designed as Energy class A in northern Europe and Scandinavia. TABS is not an air-conditioning system and is not a substitute for a ventilation system. No needs of radiators or heating/cooling from the ventilation system. TABS is driven either as a heating or a cooling system, depends on the season. It will not change between heating an cooling every day. Maintenance costs is very low. TABS will work as long as the building is in use. The energy source will be designed with less Power than a traditional Air Conditioning system. Save energy and money. The entire roof area is without any ceiling - new opportunities for the Architects
