Taburet is a stool with a three-dimensional seat made of birch bark stripes, sewed and fixed together on a steel frame. The stable, light, and elastic meshwork looks different from every angle and builds an optical illusion, cushioning the stool in a decorative and comfortable way. Unlike in traditional craftsmanship, the stripes for the seat are manufactured using flat pieces of the naturally velvety outside of the birch bark, which is a modern adaptation of traditional processing. Working with the lighter outside of the bark is a way to celebrate the distinctive grain and coloring of the material.
How Its Made
Being manufactured from a unique natural material, no two products are exactly the same, which is emphasized by contrasting accents. High quality is ensured through elaborate craftsmanship and careful material selection.
