Truly Truly Column

Colour and texture get a whole new represenation in this collection of lighting objects by Studio Truly Truly. Joel and Kate Booy played with the effects of reflection on ton-sur-ton shades of contrasting materials. The matt Forbo Bulletin Board has an earthy character and a deep, grainy texture. This material naturally embeds various colour shades, but when touched by light, it’s texture literally comes to life even more. The use of a gleaming anodised aluminium alongside the matt Forbo generates a special interaction between light, shadow and contrasting textures. The result is an installtion with four architectural light sculptures, bringing together space and texture in a new perspective on colour and materials.
