Needs
Living alone, Frank needs as much space as possible and as much light as possible. But most of all, he needs to have maximum air quality and to finally connect the house to the beautiful terrace.

Solutions
Reorganized spaces, an added bathroom and a staircase connecting the house to the terrace. Attention to detail? To say the least, very punctual.

The inspection
As soon as I entered Frank's penthouse, I found myself in front of a large square room that was totally furnished and needed to be revised practically from scratch. His main needs? Spaces as large and practical as possible and above all well lit. Modernizing everything, of course. But even before the aesthetics, there is another aspect to which Frank is particularly attached: living in a very busy area of Milan, the air that enters through his windows must be made as healthy as possible. In short, health first. But the gem of the house is a real surprise: a trapdoor that overlooks a large terrace overlooking the new Milan. The problem? There's no connection between the inside and the outside. And it's honestly a shame. Another solution to be found that adds up to the others is the kitchen, currently very poorly lit, to be replaced and connected with the living room. Other speech for the room and the dedicated bathroom, here the potential is gigantic and the work will be to give a nice renewed.

Proposals
Once I took care of the stale air issue to be reciprocated with clean, healthy air, I invited Frank into the studio to discuss choices and proposals. I showed Frank how much potential the house would gain if we added a bathroom to the only one that now exists. How? By downsizing the large bathroom connected to the bedroom and exploiting the leftover space for another bathroom, smaller, located between the living room and the kitchen, designed for guests who in this way will not be forced to use the one located in the room. And the solution to connect the two floors? I thought of a beautiful aerial spiral staircase, light and hyper modern, which will integrate perfectly with the style chosen for the living room. As if it were a real design object. But it was time to ask dear Frank the fateful question: and what color are you? He answered me that he feels very close to rock gray, green grass, in short, all the colors related to nature.

Once the construction site is underway, I see Frank again to talk about suggestions, materials and details. Oak parquet, geometric cementite-effect cladding, electrically-operated designer radiators, suspended sage-coloured sanitary fixtures (at least in the courtesy bathroom, a real gem!) and chrome taps. The most difficult task? The kitchen, simple and very linear but of great effect. The furnishings were simpler, with a very masculine tartan-effect fabric sofa with wooden feet. Curtains in white linen, very light and fresh; a table in canaletto wood tones, and very contemporary geometric lighting points.
