The young couple with a small son (5 years old) asked Estúdio Maré for interventions in wet areas like kitchen and toilets that had never been renovated and in the bedrooms and living room with furniture andrestoration of the wooden floor. 

Theoriginal plant of the apartment is already super spacious and the wooden windows of the bedroomsand floor to ceiling windows of the living room allow for super lighting.

Short period for a super restoration in the wet areas (2 months).

White subway tiles and concrete for the master bathroom and kitchen for a industrial design style and blue geometric tile for the son’s bathroom for a contemporary not so childish and timeless space.

The blue tile selected for the son’s bathroomwas designed by Instituto Athos Bulcão, which incorporates Brazilian design to the project.

We also used black iron structures for kitchen and living room door and shelves, bringing the industrial style clients asked us.

The son’s bedroom was designed to provide spaces for him to play, study and rest with lots of drawers, niches and boxes to store his toys and books.

Couple’s home office (and also guest room) was designed to provide a calm and clean space to rest and work with neutral and relaxing colors like off white, grey and touches of blue.
