Apartment Laura & Rafael

In Laura and Rafael's apartment, the experience on the first and second floors is very different! On the first floor, the colors are lighter and softer, creating peaceful and cozy spaces. On the second floor, the vibrant walls in pink and orange create a vibrant and sunny atmosphere.

The renovation was very extensive in the living room, integrating the rooms to create a larger and brighter space. The old staircase was demolished and a new one was built, in a clean design, taking up less space and making it possible to expand the kitchen.

Despite the different color palettes, the two floors have been carefully designed so that there is a coherent language between the rooms. Porcelain tiles, wood, graphite metallic structure and soft tones are repeated, creating a base that does not go out of style. And the paint - which is the easiest element to change - can be changed in the future and give the apartment a whole new look.

To remodel the penthouse apartment so that a young couple could live there. The main point was to integrate some rooms, creating larger spaces. On the first floor there is a smaller kitchen, just to support daily needs. The focal point is upstairs, with a larger open kitchen, where they can host dinner parties.

What were the solutions?

We redesigned the staircase so that it takes up less space on the top floor, making it possible to create a half bath. We also created a metallic blind structure on the second floor, painted in pink and orange, which contains and disguises a tool storage and a kennel.

What were the key challenges?

We needed to expand the living room, create a walk-in closet for the master suite, improve circulation in the kitchen, create an extra bathroom on the second floor and find space for a tool storage and a kennel.
