Conceived around the daily routine of a couple and their two daughters, the interior design of Apartment TJM, by studio AMBIDESTRO, considered the different scales of its residents. The owners work in technology, and home automation was integrated into the project from the outset, with systems that operate discreetly in favor of the family's comfort and well-being.

Because the unit sits on a low floor, the apartment reaches the height of the tree canopy, and the greenery from the street enters the field of vision from inside. The spacious, densely planted balcony extends the living area and blends with the street trees, giving the apartment the atmosphere of a house.

As the family enjoys entertaining, the social area was designed with space for gatherings. The rooms flow into one another, but the layout creates small niches for different uses and more intimate moments. The generously proportioned living room shares the space with a cozier sitting area, more sheltered, used in everyday life.

Light, warm, and delicate tones coexist with the rawness of concrete and with the greenery, in a carefully calibrated contrast that connects the spaces and gives unity to the whole. The exposed concrete slab is one of the project's defining features and extends from the balcony into the social area, with the same texture reappearing in the entrance hall and in decorative elements.

Wood is another recurring thread, with large-format planks laid in a herringbone pattern covering much of the social and private areas.

The couple's interests appear throughout the décor, making the spaces reflect who lives there. In the home office, work and hobbies blend without rigid boundaries, while in the daughters' room the playful quality comes from personalized details — collages created from the individuality of each child.
