Atur Gym is the result of the adaptive reuse of an old industrial shed that was previously used as a furniture storage warehouse.

During the design process, the main structure of the shed was preserved, while the new intervention was introduced as an inner shell within the existing space. This shell forms a white volume inside the building, accommodating the project’s service functions, including restrooms, support areas, and a central coffee shop, while separating them from the main gym area.

Positioned at the center of the plan, this core organizes the circulation around itself. These surrounding paths provide access while also accommodating changing areas and preparation spaces before entering the main hall. As a result, users do not enter the training area directly; instead, they pass through an intermediate layer between the service core and the existing building envelope.

The main gym area is located at the end of this sequence and is defined as an open, flexible space for sports activities. In this project, functional separation is achieved through the insertion of an internal volume, and the spatial organization is shaped by the relationship between the service core, the circulation paths, and the main hall.
