In 1938 Lawson Apartments was Perth's tallest building at 11 stories high.

Throughout it's history, this remarkable and intact Art Deco building has featured several fine dining restaurants within the prime street level corner tenancy.

The latest restaurant to occupy Lawson Apartments is Balthazar, a compact fine dining restaurant and bar. The new Balthazar interior is an unassuming contemporary space layered into the original Art Deco fabric.

Renowned for it's extraordinary wine list, the space is a tightly planned arrangement offering a small bar, high level seating plus intimate dining. All other available space is creatively used for various wine storage techniques.

Balthazar is an atmospheric inner city restaurant featuring a mix of classic bistro touches and timber tones.
