A young family contacted our team to design their new home. They requested not only a lot of storage space but also a solution to form two children’s bedrooms when it becomes necessary. They also desired to place a tile stove in the centre of public spaces. Removing multiple walls, we decided to include the bathroom in a free standing “box” that shapes the space around itself. The carefully positioned “box” wardrobes, corridors and the possibility to separate future children’s bedrooms with moving doors. This block becomes an accentual part of the apartment.
The new balcony door facing the city view, the wooden parquet, the reinforced concrete beams that slightly reveal the structural system of the house, the deep blue colour of the box, the unique character of the tile stove, the clean white and wooden walls of the kitchen all create an elegant atmosphere.
