This project originated from the enthusiasm of a client who appreciated a previous remodeling project by GERARDO GARCÍA STUDIO in Mexico City. The idea was to recreate the same style, adapting it to the needs of the new owner.
The client acquired a similar residence on Palmas Avenue and decided to completely remodel the project.
The façade is designed primarily in Fiorito marble, with sandblasted slabs to achieve a natural texture, matching them to the frames of the openings.
The garden is conceived as a vegetal base, highlighting a clean and natural volume. The foundation footprint and existing structure were respected, with additions made according to the owner's needs.
Inside, the main marble staircase becomes a monolith, contrasting with the light finishes of the walls and the wood of the common areas.
Despite the challenges, the project managed to consolidate a design consistent with the firm, maintaining client satisfaction. Success lies in the design capacity to overcome challenges and add proposals in complex situations.
