Cassio is a retrofuturistic lounge in what used to be Hong Kong’s nightlife district. The space blends 70s-inspired curves, high-gloss finishes, and moody lighting to create an immersive after-dark experience. Our role focused on local execution—overseeing fabrication, coordinating international design intent, and ensuring every detail landed as intended, despite the challenges of pandemic-era production.

What we loved:

The final palette hits just right—hypnotic tones, plush velvet, glossy walnut, and glints of chrome come together like a lucid dream. The custom furniture by Hervet Manufacturier brings a strong retrofuturistic vibe—Daft Punk could’ve just left the booth. 

Biggest Challenge:

Orchestration of patience and persistence. Hervet’s bespoke furniture was originally meant to be handcrafted in France—but travel bans during peak covid times had other plans. We stepped in to coordinate local fabrication with HKP International, translating the intent without compromise. Precision, supervision, and a lot of back-and-forth across time zones made it happen. 

Secret Detail:

That hypnotic DJ booth? Made in Hong Kong under our supervision, down to its layered walnut curves and futuristic geometry. Hervet’s design DNA is intact—but its body was born right here.
