We developed a Masterplan for both funding purposes and to demonstrate the stage of development of the project for the Village donors. The school and orphanage were developed to a schematic stage and needed to be placed within a landscape.
The mango trees were key to the plan given the status to the Haitian people. Sustainability is central to the village operation as well as separation of the upper and lower age groups. Each is provided with gardens, composting areas, gathering and play space. Drainage for storm seasons, provisions for volunteers, adoptive parties, and security measures are also included.
