The dramatic transformation of an existing beachside restaurant for new owners. The project required the complete and comprehensive visual transformation of the premises to present a new fresh and surprising offering. The existing space was a large sprawling volume. Within the strict limitations of available time and cost effectiveness, the design makeover relied principally on the simple elements of floor treatment, colour, new furniture and highly decorative lighting. The recreated premises were required to be consistent with the beachside setting and to create a new bright, casual and engaging family atmosphere.

The success of the design relied on achieving a striking and inspired interior which would appeal to a broad demographic, especially inclusive of beach goers and families.

The project needed to be a memorable transformation in the shortest possible time within a controlled and reasonable budget. The playful fabric chandeliers were purposefully designed to convey a sense of fun and to engage the customers in a carnival of whimsy and colour.
