The cultural complex brings, the theatre De Meerse, Art Centre Pier K, a library and popcentre Artquake under one wavy roof, together. Each function has its own architectoral charisma as for the different materials which will be used. The streets and plaza’s inside the complex add up the different functions. There will be several entrances at all side of the complex, so there is no rear side. The glass closed veranda gives the plaza in front of the complex a new face. Behind this glass façade the cultural café, the theatre café, exhibition rooms, VIP-rooms and foyers are situated. This transparent façade provides an inviting and dynamic image. A large part of the façade can be opened, which makes it possible to ride the stage on to the plaza, so concerts and shows can be shown in the open air.
