The Dordrechts Museum accommodates one of the most important collections of Dutch Masters in The Netherlands. The existing building is too small to show the collection and temporary exhibitions simultaneously. A good museum offers its visitors a continuous walking route. The historic building is ideally suited for a chronological display of the permanent collection. The new extension will accomodate temporary exhibitions. This new stealth-like volume seems to be floating and is wrapped in a metal skin. Visitors enter the museum through the splendid museum garden.
