The main intervention in the project was the integration of the living room with the balcony, increasing natural light and providing a feeling of spaciousness. The kitchen, located in a more reserved manner in the original plan, was also partially integrated using two solutions: a metalwork door with glass, which contributes to the lighting of the room, and a sliding carpentry door, allowing greater flexibility in the use of the spaces. The highlight of this area is the organic coverings and the furniture carefully chosen to create an elegant and sophisticated space.

Another point of attention in the project was the staircase. While maintaining its original treads, the railing received a new design, becoming a prominent element in the space. The masonry enclosure under the staircase was removed to make way for delicate landscaping, adding freshness and charm to the space. In the kitchen, the expansion of the support counter optimized food preparation, while the integrated carpentry brought practicality and lightness to the composition of the space.

On the upper floor, two suites were combined to create a large space for the couple's children. The layout allows the spaces to be separated by a built-in door, ensuring privacy when necessary. To meet the needs of the little ones, two independent study spaces were created, encouraging concentration. In the couple's bedroom, the woodwork covers part of the wall to provide coziness, while a larger table serves as both a dressing table and a workspace.

The balcony, which embraces the two bedrooms, was transformed into two spaces: a resting space for the parents and a playroom for the children. In the master bathroom, the timeless concept predominates, while the children's bathroom received a touch of color to match the bedroom design.

Customization was one of the pillars of the project, with all the joinery, marble and metalwork solutions designed by Estúdio Maré. Among the suppliers involved were Caetanos Evolution for joinery, Colormix and Lurca for coverings, Lumini for lighting and Botteh for carpets, among others.

With a neutral and timeless concept, without excesses, the Duplex JA project reflects the clients' desire for a functional, welcoming and sophisticated home, where every detail was thought out to enhance the family's day-to-day experience.
