In the spring of 2016, Hello Wood set out to design and build a temporary pavilion in the Caste District of Budapest. The pavilion has several functions: beyond being an information point it serves as an exhibition space where visitors can learn about the history of the Castle and the newest developments of the area. Apart from that it also works as a bookshop.
The client’s goal with the pavilion was to create a building that is sustainable over the long- term. The tight deadline for the construction put Hello Wood’s team to a challenge: the creators had 72 hours for structure building, glazing, setup of heating system, lights, tin work and flooring. Thanks to its round base it can be built at different locations.
