Junichiro Ikeura (DABURA.i) as Architects

It is located in Fukutsu-shi located midway of Fukuoka-shi and Kitakyushu-shi. It is a commercial building to be built in front of Fukuma Station that is the main station. In Fukuma Station, rebuilding is completed three years ago, and large-scale development business is developed in the former station backside (the station east) now. A house, an apartment complex and a doctor's office, commercial facilities are built in sequence and are an energized area. It is reverse to it, and, in contrast with the mood of the station back, old stores line up, and the station right side where this building is located cannot deny that stagnation has a slight it.

Originally, in the place where this building was located, the client did business in a commercial building for approximately 30 years. However, with the redevelopment around the station, front road will widen it. A widening road interferes the building; of the site 1/3 will be quite sharpened. As a result, the old building was dismantled, and a wonderful triangular site was had.

It was the work that it was difficult to plan the commerce space where functionality was demanded from in the land which was this triangular non-cosmetic surgery. It should have been rectangular to make it easy to cause a tenant if I could do it, but then the security of an effective area was difficult.

Therefore I thought about these three angles of site shapes to give the building charm by constituting a building as a clue of the designs characteristically. Therefore I carry out a triangle thoroughly for the vertical plane planarly daringly as a support of the designs and make a triangular building. It renovates neighboring environment by a characteristic building coming up and improves local charm. And it gave the value of the building and thought that it finally led to the commercial profit of the tenant. When a building makes use for "the reproduction of the place" of land showing a slight stagnation, I expect it.

The building is a plan to contain four tenants in total by two rooms in each floor. To a site shape, I take three angles of plane shapes. The structure makes a cedar rail of 45*45 millimeter into a triangle form as the groundwork of the traditional method of construction + outer wall at wooden 2 stories. Along the triangle lattice, I constitute the appearance in the outer wall of 0.4 millimeters of gal barium color steel sheets and an opening of the steel. Triangular acute angle $B$5$r(B individualizes outer wall materials, sash together original processing by making it with the detail which is almsgiving, a mini-circle.

Particularly, when it is night, light to leak meets the people who arrived at the station from the triangular window shiningly and it is symbolic and exists at the station square.
