The characteristic red brick buildings rising at different heights along the historic railroad tracks will contain multiple housing typologies.
Street level activity is encouraged with inviting outdoor spaces and intimate nooks along the apartments and row-houses, while a lush green rainwater park is the go to place for leisurely walks through the area.

URBAN POWER designed the urban plan for the abandoned freight rail area in Horsens for DSB Properties, together with the local offices Skala Architects and Schönherr Landscape Architects.
Densely built, the plan for the area seeks to create as much life between buildings as possible by centering activity around five spots throughout the area, where functions such as the cafés, boathouses, sports venues, start-up businesses, shops and the community house will be located.
Likewise, the area is highly walkable, both though and around the buildings and parallel to the rails, where the three main roads have each their own characteristics. A single, tall residential building acts as a landmark for the area, highlighting its surroundings.
