Hotel the Graduate

OVID-19 emergency forced everybody to increase social distancing in order to be able to enjoy long and pleasant meals in complete safety. Therefore many restaurants had to review and strengthen the organization of the outdoor environments, adequately dividing spaces and arraginging them with booths and umbrellas to shelter customers from sun in summer and from wind and rain in winter, offering delightful alfresco dining even thanks to heating lamps and turrets.

Fully customized spaces, equipped in a functional and elegant way, come to life under the glare of the stars and the sparkling lights of wall lamps and chandeliers: dining outdoors becomes a unique sensory experience, sweeping away all the difficulties and restrictions related to the pandemic.

For this reason this summer, even in the middle of the Covid emergency, the Graduate Hotel Nashville , in Tennessee , inaugurated the " White Limozeen ", a brand new bar-restaurant located atop the hotel's panoramic terrace, entirely dedicated to the iconic country singer Dolly Parton , hailing from the Volunteer State. Name and decorations are inspired by the 1989 album and song of the iconic "queen of country", which conveys autobiographical images of a country girl coming from Tennessee who finds herself living an opulent, Hollywood lifestyle far from here real life.

When it comes to Dolly Parton, it's never too much. And that’s how the environment has been furnished and decorated: following a particularly exuberant and eclectic taste , it is almost completely decked out in shades of pink, white, and gold, very dear colours to the singer, with crushed-velvet chairs, pink, flowery textiles, crystal chandeliers and lots of fringe.

The bar itself has both an indoor and outdoor space. Indoors, guests can sidle up to the half-moon bar and drink a cocktail. Or, they can head outside where they can sit under the Poggesi umbrellas set around the pool and in all over the area, enjoying the restaurant menu and the wonderful view of Nashville Mid-town, that opens from the panoramic terrace.

Extremely appealing and inspired by the 60s, “White Limozeen” is a celebration of the nonconformists. On the outdoor patio, the pool is flanked by magenta and floral oversized daybeds, bright pink seating vignettes and striped and fuchsia pink sofas and armchairs with golden finishes. To form pleasant conversation areas, each pink furniture is separated by white tables and hot pink fringed Party umbrellas by Poggesi , made to measure and directly designed by Graduate Hotel Nashville, to shade the guest during the day and shelter them during the night. Anchoring the entire space is a massive pink Dolly Parton statue made from chicken wire.
