The apartment, located in Isola delle Femmine, just after Palermo, is part of a residential complex of villas. It is on three levels including a basement, ground floor with an outdoor space usable all year round and first floor. Nestled in a place with high naturalistic value since it is only a few steps from the sea. The client’s request was to achieve a contemporary, warm and cozy space, enhancing its visual relationship with the outdoors.

The design of the space aims to create a warm and inviting environment that reflects the great feeling of peace already provided by the natural surroundings.
In keeping with the exterior, an attempt was made to create a feeling of harmony within the designed space through clean, rational lines combined with soft,
warm tones, creating a harmonious visual balance. The project aimed to fully enhance the property, which is spread over three levels. To achieve this goal, it was decided to create a privileged direction that would lead the visitor to the living area.

This direction was marked by an equipped wall that starts in the living area and goes all the way to the kitchen, featuring a luxor fenix cladding and cross passages or niches emptied by natural oak elements and Biancone di Trani marble countertops to provide bookcase or passageway functions. This block is the focal point for the cladding and furniture throughout the living area, except for the kitchen island, designed specifically as a block in Biancone di Trani marble, which is the focal point of the project’s direction.

The selection of materials for the project is mainly focused on natural elements, where light oak wood is used for both the floor and textured wall coverings, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen block and countertops are enhanced by the use of Biancone marble from Trani, which lends a touch of elegance. In addition, the flooring on the lower floor and the access stairs are complemented with a Venetian seminato finish, creating a stylistic harmony throughout the room.

The access stairs to the lower and upper floors have been enhanced with the
creation of unique blocks (riser-footer) in Venetian seminato that are grafted onto
the masonry, highlighting the suspension of the walls.

In the sleeping area, the bouclé fabric bed matches perfectly with Kerakoll Design Patina walls and Fenix Luxor cabinets with oak interiors, creating an elegant ambiance. Finally, the bathrooms have been entirely clad in warm, enveloping finishes, using Venetian sown stoneware for the guests and light-toned stoneware for the master bathroom.
