The site is located in a quiet residential area where the city tree "Kuromatsu" can be seen in some places. The land was flat, with roads on the east side, houses on the south and west sides, and parking on the north side. The owner was a couple in their thirties who wanted a space where they could enjoy their hobbies, a skip floor, and a house where their families could be felt wherever they were. First, in order to obtain an effective open space for daylighting and ventilation, the current surrounding environment was carefully read, and the open space was not taken in one direction on the south side. In order to match these vacant spaces, we shifted three rectangular planes and planned a cross section that went up by skipping. Each room faces the open space and has windows in more than one direction, so the interior is bright and airy. The surrounding area is lined with two-story houses, but the top of this house is slightly higher than the surrounding houses, so the view from the terrace is open far away.
