The 635 m² house in São Paulo now has a gourmet area, and it is full of personality with pieces of design.
The 635 m² house, located in a closed condominium in Jardim Petrópolis, in São Paulo – Brazil, was renovated to meet the needs of a couple with two kids looking for comfort and functionality. The biggest structural intervention of the work, which lasted eleven months, was in the gourmet area located outside the house, the customer's favorite environment to meet friends and family.
The project, designed by architect Andrea Balastreire, resulted in the removal of the pillar and the construction of a slab to increase the space and gain even more comfort. The space also had a barbecue and a bench in a sober color with a wooden top.
For the interior of the first floor of the house, the architect also proposed changes, such as changing some coatings, lowering the ceiling to highlight the lighting project, revitalizing the wooden floor, and installing home automation.
The environments of the house have a clean and light style with some points of color and a lot of softness in the finishes and textures. The furniture is predominant in contemporary-style pieces with clean lines and neutral colors. The biggest change on the ground floor was due to the carpentry designed to organize all the spaces, with emphasis on the bookcase created under the stairs.
In the upper part of the house, a few alterations were made, including the addition of an extra wall in the home theater, changing the facing in the bathroom, and renovating the porch. For the couple's bedroom, a wood panel was chosen for the headboard covering.
Familiar with contemporary design, customers opted for the 'Preguiça Gira Gira' armchair by Alfio Lisi to compose the living room. Works of art by Tomie Ohtake, Alfredo Volpi, Arthur Piza, Hans Grudzinski, among other successful artists, are also part of the decoration.
The outdoor area has a large garden integrated with the inside of the house, which includes a stone path that leads to the gourmet area. There is also a relaxing place with a deck made of wood and a swimming pool that are located next to the porch.
