Kinetic Clinic Headquarters is an athletic and medical recovery space, aiming at improving the clients’ quality of life. We have lined up our whole endeavor to best accommodate a physical therapy clinic in an existing, shell and core building, on an open-plan floor, wishing to turn it into a unique spatial experience. The entire atmosphere of the clinic is based on the idea of privacy, therefore we divided the functional flows, created modular individual offices and chose a specific materiality, intensity and tone of lighting. The protective, private, relaxing recovery space stands in sharp contrast with the common work-out area, thus generating a bench-mark experience. The concept consists of a dynamic ‘skin’, of natural wooden essence which mantles both vertical and horizontal planes in one coherent gesture. The medical-athletic cubicles poach from the present complexity of the chosen materials, but also from their time-revealing qualities. The Kinetic Clinic has given us the opportunity of creating a full, A to Z, detailed experience, but most of all, designing a space that brings joy to its users.
